Ray Rolling(2B) of the 1912 Greenwood Scouts, pictured here as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. At the close of the 1912 CSL season he was promoted to the St. Louis Cardinals, a jump from Class 'D' ball to the Major Leagues. Rolling appeared in 5 games for the Cards, ending his short major league career with a batting avg. of .200 and a fielding avg. of .947.

Pol Perritt as a member of the New York Giants.

At the close of the 1912 season, pitcher Pol Perritt was promoted to the St. Louis Cardinals, a jump from Class 'D' ball to the Major Leagues. As a member of the New York Giants, Perritt pitched in games 2,5, and 6 of the 1917 World Series against the Chicago White Sox of the American League, the last time the Sox won the World Series until 2005.
