John Kane, playing for Greenwood/Meridian, led the league with a .355 average.

Hugh Boyd, Greenwood pitcher was the league leader in winning percentage at .688 (11-5).

Charles "Red" Lucas pitched a no-hit, no-run game against the Clarksdale Cubs on August 30, the third game of the five game playoff series.
